Paula Long- Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder
Paula brings over 30 years of experience to DataGravity in delivering meaningful and game changing high-tech innovation. Prior to DataGravity, Paula served as vice president of product development at Heartland Robotics. In 2001 Paula co-founded storage provider EqualLogic, resetting the bar on how customers managed and purchased data storage. EqualLogic was acquired by Dell for $1.4 billion in 2008 and Paula remained at Dell as vice president of storage until 2010. Previous to EqualLogic, she served in several engineering management positions at Allaire Corporation and oversaw all aspects of the ClusterCATS product line while at Bright Tiger Technologies.
Her executive and technical leadership has been extensively recognized, including the New Hampshire High Tech Council Entrepreneur of the Year award, the Ernst & Young 2008 Northeast Regional “Entrepreneur of the Year” and a national finalist for the same award. Her technical awards span systems designs and enterprise software including the EqualLogic and ClusterCATS product lines. She is a graduate of Westfield State College.
Paula is also active in the startup community. Outside of high tech, she works with charities creating equality for professional women and girls, as well as with organizations enabling literacy for all children, regardless of economic status.
John Joseph- President and Co-Founder
With over 30 years of experience applying a customer-focused approach to multiple disciplines spanning computer design engineering, product management and go-to-market strategy, John brings deep enterprise and mid-market expertise to DataGravity. Throughout his career, John has successfully led cross-functional teams to bring award-winning products to market and evangelized customer voice back into the company.
John served as vice president of enterprise solutions, marketing at Dell for three years after the acquisition of EqualLogic in 2008. While at Dell, he led the development of a globally scalable enterprise marketing model which delivered significant customer awareness, measurable pipeline, and revenue in markets where Dell was emerging in data center solutions. He joined EqualLogic in 2003 as vice president of marketing and product management to launch the company and the PS Series products into the rapidly growing iSCSI SAN market, ultimately achieving the No. 1 market share position with Dell. Before joining EqualLogic, John held product design and leadership roles at Digital Equipment Corporation and was responsible for all marketing activities for the enterprise storage business at Maxtor and Quantum. He is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Clark University.
John is a frequent speaker at technology and entrepreneurship events. Outside of his work in high technology, John is active in coaching and mentoring young athletes and advising college- bound seniors on possible career paths aligned to individual passions and strengths.
David Siles- Vice President of Worldwide Field Operations
An experienced executive with more than 20 years in operations and leadership roles with growth companies, David Siles serves as vice president of worldwide field operations for DataGravity and is responsible for building the channel and alliance network. Prior to DataGravity, David was a member of the senior leadership team at Veeam, a leading data protection software provider for virtualized and cloud environments, overseeing global sales efforts and technical operations including sales engineering, customer success, sales strategy, and strategic partner alliances.
Previous to Veeam, David was the chief technology officer and vice president of professional services for Hipskind TSG, a systems integrator. He previously served the citizens of Kane County, Ill. for over five years as the chief technical officer for the county. Earlier in his career he held technology leadership roles with Illinois Trading Co., Chicago Transit Authority, the city of Chicago, Novopoint and DeVry University. He is a graduate of DeVry University.
David is a frequent speaker at top tier technology shows including VMworld, Interop, and a number of regional user groups. He is an internationally recognized virtualization expert holding VMware vExpert status.
Jeff Boehm- Vice President of Marketing
Drawing on nearly 25 years of experience leading marketing, product marketing and product management for pioneering data warehousing, business intelligence and search technology companies, Jeff drives marketing strategy for DataGravity and is excited to be with a company that is reshaping data storage.
Adept at core product messaging and positioning, market strategy, competitive intelligence and global field enablement, Jeff possesses a rare combination of marketing skills, organizational leadership and technical background. Most recently, he served as vice president of global product marketing at business intelligence software leader Qlik. Previously, he served on the senior leadership teams directing marketing and product management at search and BI technology pioneers, including Business Objects, Endeca and Ardent/Ascential.
Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in computer science from Tufts University and a Master in Business Administration from Boston University. A frequent speaker, he has appeared at the Gartner BI Summit, the Accel Big Data Conference and the Computerworld Premier 100 Conference. Jeff is also a husband and father who enjoys outdoor sports such as hiking, running and skiing.
Steve Noyes- Vice President of Engineering
With more than 30 years experience, Steve Noyes has led engineering teams delivering cutting-edge technology in the fields of software, hardware and data storage. At DataGravity, Steve serves as the vice president of engineering, leading the team building the next evolution in data storage.
He has a proven track record of delivering ground-breaking technology solutions. In 2003, Steve joined Virtual Iron Software at the inception of the company. There he oversaw an engineering team focused on creating a virtualization product, purpose-built for the needs of small-and-medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The company’s success and powerful technology led to an acquisition by Oracle Corporation in 2009. Steve continued in the role, leading the large engineering team for Oracle VM (for x86 and SPARC).before joining DataGravity in 2014.
Prior to Virtual Iron Software, Steve worked at Equipe Communications and Avid Technologies as the vice president of engineering. He also served as general manager of VMS engineering and as a senior manager in the Digital Equipment Corporation server engineering group spanning 14 years.
Steve enjoys spending time volunteering and has used his electrician skills in the Dominican Republic in association with La Romana Good Samaritan, restoring electrical service in a large medical facility. A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Steve holds a Masters of Science in Computer Science as well as a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering.
