Its co-founders, Paula Long and John Joseph were previously founder and executive leader respectively at EqualLogic, a notably successful storage innovator later acquired by Dell. Paula Long

Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder

Paula brings over 30 years of experience in high-tech innovation to DataGravity. Prior to DataGravity, she served as vice president of product development at Heartland Robotics. In 2001 Paula co-founded storage provider EqualLogic, acquired by Dell for $1.4 billion in 2008. She remained at Dell as vice president of storage until 2010. Prior to EqualLogic, she served in engineering management positions at Allaire Corporation and oversaw all aspects of the ClusterCATS product line while at Bright Tiger Technologies.

Paula’s executive and technical leadership has been extensively recognized, including the New Hampshire High Tech Council Entrepreneur of the Year award, the Ernst & Young 2008 Northeast Regional “Entrepreneur of the Year” and a national finalist for the same award. She is a graduate of Westfield State College.

John Joseph

President and Co-Founder

With over 30 years of experience applying a customer-focused approach to computer design engineering, product management and go-to-market strategy, John brings deep enterprise and mid-market expertise to DataGravity.

John previously served as vice president of marketing and product management at EqualLogic, leading these functions from the company's initial launch through the successful acquisition by Dell in 2008. He subsequently served as vice president of enterprise solutions, marketing at Dell for three years after the acquisition. Before joining EqualLogic, John held product design and leadership roles at Digital Equipment Corporation and was responsible for all marketing activities for enterprise storage at Maxtor and Quantum. He is a graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Clark University.

John is a frequent speaker at technology and entrepreneurship events.

David Siles

Chief Technology Officer

With more than 20 years in operations and leadership roles with growth companies, David serves as chief technology officer of DataGravity, responsible for leading the technical strategic vision for the company while guiding our product management teams and research and development efforts to better serve the needs of organizations looking for more from their data storage.

Prior to becoming CTO, David served as vice president of worldwide field operations at DataGravity. Previously, David was a member of the senior leadership team at Veeam Software, a leading data protection software provider for virtualized and cloud environments.

David also served as CTO and vp of professional services for systems integrator Hipskind TSG. He also served as CTO for Kane County, Ill., and has held technology leadership roles with various organizations. A graduate of DeVry University, he is a frequent speaker at top tier technology shows and is a recognized expert in virtualization. 

Jeff Boehm

Vice President of Marketing

Drawing on nearly 25 years of experience leading marketing, product marketing and product management for pioneering data warehousing, business intelligence and search technology companies, Jeff drives marketing strategy for DataGravity.

Adept at core product messaging and positioning, market strategy, competitive intelligence and global field enablement, Jeff possesses a rare combination of marketing skills, organizational leadership and technical background. Most recently, he served as vice president of global product marketing at business intelligence software leader Qlik. Previously, he served on the senior leadership teams directing marketing and product management at search and BI technology pioneers, including Business Objects, Endeca and Ardent/Ascential.

Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from Tufts University and a Master in Business Administration from Boston University. A frequent speaker, he has appeared at the Gartner BI Summit, the Accel Big Data Conference and the Computerworld Premier 100 Conference. 

Rich Shea

Vice President of Sales

Rich brings 25 years of experience with global sales management, product marketing, and system engineering. As the VP of Sales he is responsible for ramping and managing the DataGravity field sales organization in their mission of business development, channel creation/management, and revenue generation.

Prior to DataGravity, Rich was the Worldwide Vice President of Sales and Services at SimpliVity Corp. where, in addition to his core role of creating and executing SimpliVity’s go to market sales strategy, he led major segments of product development, product marketing, and global support services. During Rich’s tenure SimpliVity experienced record-setting levels in sales growth, pipeline generation, organization scaling and channel network recruitment.

Prior to SimpliVity, Rich served as Area Vice President of Sales for EqualLogic where he worked closely with Paula Long and John Joseph.   Rich has also held senior management roles with EMC Corporation, LeftHand Networks, and GreenBytes.

Rich lives in the Boston area with his wife Jennifer and children Courtney and Collin.  Rich holds a BS from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy and an MBA from Boston College.

Steve Noyes

Steve Noyes- Vice President of Engineering

With more than 30 years experience, Steve Noyes has led engineering teams in the fields of software, hardware and data storage. At DataGravity, Steve serves as the vice president of engineering, leading the team building the next evolution in data storage.

In 2003, Steve joined Virtual Iron Software, where he oversaw an engineering team focused on creating a virtualization product, purpose-built for small-and-medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The company was acquired by Oracle Corporation in 2009, where Steve led the engineering team for Oracle VM (x86 and SPARC) before joining DataGravity in 2014.

Prior to Virtual Iron Software, Steve worked at Equipe Communications and Avid Technologies as the vice president of engineering. He also served as general manager of VMS engineering and as a senior manager at Digital Equipment Corporation.

A graduate of Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Steve holds a Masters of Science in Computer Science and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
