UX/GUI Engineer
Job Description: The consumerization of IT has pushed the envelope on what IT managers and end users expect from the user experience. As member of the user interface team you will be participating in the design and implementation of intuitive user interfaces. The interfaces will be deployed on desktops and mobile devices alike so they need to lean and responsive.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the design and implementation from wireframes to visual design to usability tests and prototyping. Producing an easy to use, intuitive yet rich interface for IT managers and end users.
- Be responsible for a large portion interface design and implementation.
- Ability to work independently and also collaboratively to guide other engineers. Be willing to take on any engineering tasks that support progress towards the goals of the team and the company.
- Work cross functionally with other parts of company including product marketing, customer support, and sales.
Requirements:
- 5+ years in software development with a focus on UX/GUI.
- Have a passion for designing and developing UI that visual compelling and easy to under and use.
- UX/Visual Design expertise.
- Experience in designing and developing UIs for IT managers and/or end users.
- Expertise in developing UIs that run equal well from a desktop or mobile device.
- Expert in JavaScript and HTML/HTML5 development.
- Experience using JQuery, HighCharts or FusionCharts is desirable.

Data Visualization Engineers
Job Description: DataGravity’s mission is turning data into information. As part of the Data Visualization your role will be to turn this information to answers. The ultimate goal is to derive the value from the information extract and present to the users so it is quickly and easily understandable.
Job Responsibilities:
- Take as input large amounts of data, and distill it to something easy to understand and transform. This can be done using charts, or visual clues or various data visualization techniques.
- Deliver a new generation of data visualization tools.

Requirements
- +3 years in software development
- Appreciation of data and data visualization.
- Experience with BI or data visualization a strong plus.

QA Engineering
Job Description: DataGravity is looking for a seasoned QA engineer, who enjoys understanding how things work and pushes the system by doing a combination of manual and automated testing to verify that the system meets customer needs. The challenge for this position will be testing and validating the system to define what “works” really means. Most importantly the ideal candidate will know the difference between “Works as Designed” and “Designed to Work” and can be vocal when people get confused between the two.
Responsibilities:
- Develop automated and manual tests to validate the scalability, robustness and correctness of DataGravity’s products.
- Perform usability testing, ensure that the information returned is not only correct but easily understandable.
- Develop test methodologies and plans to ensure repeatable testing strategies.
- Isolate, reproduce and report failures.
- Work with developers to resolve failures discovered.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years experience testing enterprise software or BI solutions.
- Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting, debugging and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop test automation in Python or Perl.
- Must be a strong team player, detail oriented, self-motivated and perform well under pressure.

Data Intelligence Software Engineer
Job description: “Turning Data into Information” requires the ability to coalesce the data, analyze it, and organize the results in real-time. As part of the Data Intelligence Team
Responsibilities:
- Develop core components that extract actionable knowledge from unstructured storage.
- Be responsible for components in the system, from the design phase through to the end customer site.
- Ability to work independently and also work collaboratively to guide other engineers. Be willing to take on any engineering tasks that support progress towards the goals of the team and the company.
- Participate in technical communication with customers.
- Work cross functionally with other parts of company including product marketing, customer support, and sales.
Requirements:
- Strong C/C++ and multi-threaded programming a must
- Experience in developing enterprise software products, a passion for quality and well-structured software engineering practices.
- Experience in designing and implementing large and complex software modules with expertise in one or more of the following areas: data categorization, data analytics, data mining, machine learning and/or query processing.
- Ability to work independently in a startup environment and take on a variety of roles as needed.
- Good knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
- Manage multiple priorities and tasks in a dynamic work environment.
