Director, Quality Assurance

Job Description:

We are looking for a leader with a proven track record of excellence for our Quality Assurance team. They will have a relentless focus on product quality, in addition to experience working with mission-critical products. This is a hands-on management position. The Director of Quality Assurance will be a key member of the engineering leadership team, reporting directly to the Vice President of Engineering, working closely with the development and customer support teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead the QA Team to develop effective test strategies and plans, and then ensure those plans are effectively implemented.
  • Strengthen and grow the QA team, in the areas of Automation, System Testing, and Interoperability testing.
  • Work closely with the Development Managers to drive quality into every aspect of development.
  • Work closely with Product Management to ensure that customer expectations are met.
  • Recruit and develop high-performance team members.
  • Train, mentor, and retain a skilled team.
  • Represent the company to key customers and partners.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years leading quality assurance teams, start-up experience required.
  • Excellent working knowledge of QA and Development processes, including defining and implementing QA strategies, as well as documenting QA processes and procedures.
  • Experience with Agile development processes a plus.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and experience managing multiple projects in parallel.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a dynamic culture. Must have a willingness to be pragmatic and provide hands-on assistance when necessary to advance the objectives of the company.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong organizational and planning, tracking, and reporting abilities.
  • Proven track record in managing and growing successful teams

Director, Product Management

Job Description:

Join DataGravity at the ground floor as we bring a game changing product to market. As a Product Management Director, you will be a key driver of our product strategy and direction in establishing a new category of data management solutions. You will work closely with engineering, marketing, sales, customers, and partners to shape the search and data analysis capabilities in the product, and influence how we position and bring these capabilities to market. This is an important and strategic role at DataGravity, and a great opportunity to make your mark not only at a great company, but on a dynamic market.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze input from sales, marketing, customers, partners, development and the executive team.
  • Work closely with executive management to shape the product strategy, roadmap and priorities.
  • Develop requirements documents and use cases for new product features, and work closely with engineering as they implement these capabilities.
  • Define the DataGravity product process in concert with other senior leaders.
  • Research and publish technical content that effectively exposes best practices, differentiators, and novel applications of DataGravity products and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Product Manager for a B2B product.

  • Ability to understand and communicate complex concepts and technologies, and translate them into business-oriented value propositions

Territory Sales Manager

Job Description:

This position is responsible for developing, accelerating, up selling and closing business with mid-market and enterprise accounts in an assigned market territory through solution selling with the partner sales community.  Develops assigned territory by recruiting and enabling partners to call on end-users who have potential to contribute significant revenue to DataGravity.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.  A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Experience with vendors associated to Storage, Data Protection, Virtualization, and/or Data Analytics technology strongly desired
  • Minimum of five (5) or more years of mid-market to enterprise solution sales; channel sales experience required with experience managing resellers at a strategic and tactical, transaction-based level
  • Proven track record of accomplished selling in the mid-market and enterprise accounts to IT infrastructure specialists and line of business decision makers; must have an in-depth understanding of technology trends and issues and their impact on enterprises at strategic and tactical levels
  • Knowledge of virtualization technology, experience with VMware, Microsoft, and/or Citrix is a plus
  • Proven ability to develop new sales with strong cold-calling and prospecting skills
  • Must have knowledge of solution selling and value-based selling techniques
  • Be a self-starter with the ability to learn quickly
  • High-energy sales person who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where roles and responsibilities change quickly

Responsiblities:

  • Works with partners value selling to end-users in the assigned territory focusing on closing timely revenue
  • Heavily relies on joint account planning with Partners’ sales reps to grow pipeline and close deals
  • Develop and close business, in conjunction with DataGravity partners, within mid-market and enterprise accounts
  • Meets or exceeds individual and team revenue targets
  • Leveraging business generated by Partners with End Users/Customers
  • Drive sales activities with new mid-market account customers; up-sell and cross-sell to the existing mid-market customer base
  • Develops sales pipeline by proactive calling with partners to convert sales conversations to identified prospects
  • Effectively executes a territory plan to maximize revenue
  • Enter forecasting and account/opportunity details in SalesForce to provide weekly updates including but not limited to, revenue opportunity, current status and capturing decision makers and next steps in closing opportunities

Systems Engineer

Job Description:

A DataGravity Systems Engineer works with our partners and end users to realize the benefits of our products and solutions.

An SE will work hand in hand with our partner community providing training and assistance as necessary to drive required sales results. Job duties include: demonstrations, presentations, proof of concepts, partner enablement training and field marketing events.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required. A combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • Five or more years of technology experience
  • VMware VCP, Microsoft MCITP or equivalent experience
  • Previous pre-sales experience or demonstrated sales acumen

System Management Engineer

Job Description:

The consumerization of IT has pushed the envelope on what IT Managers and End Users expect from the manageability of the system. This doesn’t just impact the UI team, it adds significant challenges how system management information is stored, accessed and visualized. As part of the DataGravity System Management Team you will be able to start with a clean slate and help design and implement a new generation of System Management tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in defining the data-model, and system management infrastructure
  • Be responsible for a large portion of the system, from the design phase through to deployment at the customer site.
  • Ability to work independently and also work collaboratively to guide other engineers. Be willing to take on any engineering tasks that support progress towards the goals of the team and the company.
  • Participate in technical, verbal and written communication with customers.
  • Work cross functionally with other parts of company including product marketing, customer support, and sales.

Requirements:

  • Experience in developing enterprise software products, a passion for quality and well-structured software engineering practices.
  • Experience in designing and implementing large and complex software modules, preferred in one of the following areas, application, database, storage, virtual machine or network management infrastructure.
  • Database expertise in both traditional SQL and NoSQL based system.
  • Expertise in designing highly available and scalable management data-stores
  • Ability to work independently in a startup environment and take on a variety of roles as needed
  • Strong C/C++ and multi-threaded programming

Data Intelligence Software Engineer

Job description:
“Turning Data into Information” requires the ability to capture the data, analyze it, organize it, and make it discoverable in real-time. As part of the Data Intelligence Team, you will leverage your experience in data management, mining and integration, content analytics, machine learning, and/or enterprise search to build the core of an entirely new class of products.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop core components that extract actionable knowledge from unstructured data.
